At the end of August, Calderdale will be getting a visit from Harry Loco - the Dutch Bob Dylan, who will be doing several shows in Todmorden with good friends, The Wes Paul Band.

HARRY LOCO is a typical singer/songwriter who depends on his unique voice in combination with screaming mouth-organs and the brilliant sound of his Landola guitars.

He started playing in the streets in London in 2001 and often performs for Amnesty International,  Peace Festivals and other actions against war, racism and all kinds of injustice and he is connected with PeaceStrike in London.

Harry’s main hits in Holland are WORKIN ON THE ROAD (released 2007) with the single WE GOT TO DO SOMETHING in 2008.

He is now touring frequently across Britain, Belgium, France, Sweden and Finland and his latest exciting ventures include working with Beat-scene painter MICHAEL BOWEN.(Michael has been credited with initially starting the Summer of Love in ’67)

In March 2003 Harry performed Love to All the People in front of more than 80,000 people on the Dam Square in Amsterdam (NL).

The song was broadcast all over the world and is widely available online.

“Moving people is the most important thing to do these days,” Harry says. “There must be a change.”

Harry’s unique show will be making a one off appearance in Todmorden culminating in a big event at Todmorden Unitarian Church on Saturday 23rd August.
